What is a Bernedoodle?

A Bernedoodle is a designer breed that is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. With this combination, we truly believe that you get the best of both worlds. A Bernedoodle will typically have the sweet and loyal personality of the Bernese Mountain Dog, while having the intelligence and protective traits like a poodle. As an added bonus, Bernedoodles tend to be hypo-allergenic dogs. You can expect to have a low to non-shedding pet that is allergy friendly.

Generations

F1-This is a cross between a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog and a purebred Poodle, resulting in 50 percent Bernese and 50 percent Poodle.

F1b-This is a cross between an F1 Bernedoodle and a purebred Poodle, resulting in 75 percent Poodle and 25 percent Bernese.

F2-This is a cross between an F1 Bernedoodle with another F1 Bernedoodle.

As of right now, we have chose to only specialize in the standard F1 Bernedoodles. We believe that this particular generation of Bernedoodles creates a healthier pet that has the ability to live longer, have less health issues, and that has the tendency to produce a coat that is more allergy-friendly.
