HooDoodles Contract

By purchasing a puppy from HooDoodles, you are agreeing to the following: 

_____All puppies are sold as companion dogs and come with no breeding rights unless discussed and agreed upon in advance. There will be a separate contract that the breeder and buyer will sign if breeding rights are granted. The puppy must be spayed/neutered by the age of 12 months. Proof of the procedure must be sent to the breeder no later than the age of 13 months. If the breeder does not receive proof of the spay/neuter procedure at 13 months of age, then the entire health warranty will be void and it will be assumed the dog is being used for breeding. The buyer shall pay the breeder the sum of 10 times the purchase price of the puppy as a penalty for breach of contract. _____The buyer agrees to take the dog for their age appropriate veterinarian exams. The puppy/dog must remain current on vaccines, preventative deworming, heartworm treatment and flea preventative as recommended by your licensed veterinarian.        

_____The buyer agrees to provide adequate shelter for the dog along with secure fencing. The primary living environment should be inside the home with the family. Sleeping outside or being tied up on a chain for long periods of time is not permitted. 

_____The buyer agrees to feed the dog high quality food that is suitable for the dog’s nutritional requirements for the entire lifespan of the dog. If this puppy/dog is found to have a debilitating, life-threatening, hereditary/congenital disease during the 2-year health guarantee, proof of purchase for quality dog food will need to be shown to the breeder in order for the health guarantee to remain in effect. If it is found that the dog has been given low quality food, the entire health warranty will be voided. 

_____The buyer agrees to keep the dog at a suitable weight and will ensure adequate physical exercise and activity. 

_____ The buyer agrees that Bernedoodles require grooming and that they will maintain a grooming schedule.   

_____ The buy agrees to keep the breeder informed of their current phone number and physical address. If the buyer moves, they must inform the breeder within one month of their update contact information. The breeder reserves the right to do a home visit of the new residence where the dog will be living.   

_____The buyer agrees to never relinquish the puppy/dog to a shelter under any circumstances. The buyer also agrees to never dump the dog or give him/her away to another person. If you are unable to properly care for your puppy/dog, you must return the dog to HooDoodles. The breeder agrees to always accept the return of the dog at any time and for any reason. 

_____Should the buyer decide to sell the puppy/dog, HooDoodles will always have the first right or refusal on the dog. Fair market value will be determined by the breeder and the buyer at the current time. If the breeder doesn’t purchase the dog back, the buyer and breeder agree to work together in finding a new home for the dog/puppy. The new owner must abide by the stipulations held within this contract. They will also be required to sign a document from HooDoodles before taking ownership of the puppy/dog. Transferring ownership of the puppy/dog without the consent of HooDoodles will result in possible legal action against the original buyer.     

_____The buyer must never allow the dog to be used for experimental or research purposes at any time during the dogs life. 

If the buyer sends photos of the puppy/dog to the breeder, do you give permission for the breeder (HooDoodles) to share them on social media or on their website: www.hoodoodles.com?
